The Golden Boten City project started in 2007, when dreams shine through the hills of forgotten Laos.
I came back where trails became paved roads, where traditional villages became casinos, where rice paddies were flattened, awaiting becoming golf courses.
The nice promises of an economical miracle in northern Laos, became ruines and decadence. This planned place of holidays for chinese masses turns into corruption and maffias playground. Phone lines and power where cut over the border, letting a wast land of brand new or unfinished ruines of casinos, haunted by lost souls, playing their last coins in the noise of power generators.
Made with a 4x5 inches large format camera and negative films.
This work received for his creation the support of the Musée de l'Elysée, Lausanne.
